Dear Residents,

As a result of the Covid-19 Virus we are all experiencing unprecedented and worrying times. The effects and repercussions are already being experienced by individuals, families and business across the Loton Division and in the face of a national crisis it looks like this will most certainly escalate in the coming weeks and potentially months. Below I have updated some information and provided some more useful contacts following my initial letter earlier this week.

Up to Date information is received by Shropshire Council from Central Government and publishes it accordingly. I would suggest that you sign up (if you are not signed up already) to the updates from the council’s newsroom, https://shropshire.gov.uk/ The Subscribe button is in the top right corner.

Information has emerged this week around the support for businesses effected by the corona virus outbreak https://shropshire.gov.uk/coronavirus/information-for-businesses
HMRC have a dedicated helpline relating to tax and payments

Each of our Four parishes have taken various steps to coordinate a community repose since I originally wrote this letter on Monday. Much of this is being organised by members of the community in conjunction with the parish council.

Many people have come forward to offer assistance in a number of ways if anyone would
like more advice or if you think I can help in any way please do not hesitate to contact me
even if it is just for a chat. The situation is changing daily and the community will be key
during these challenging times.
